Christmas and Zipties

As all the Christmas business comes to an end I figured it has been a while since I updated so here's some fun stuff that happened.

-On Christmas Eve me, my brother, and my aunt managed to ziptie my dad to the chair he was sitting in, that was funny.

-We had the best dinner on Christmas Eve in a long time, Highlights were the Polish Sausage (smoked and fresh) and the Venisen steaks wrapped in bacon.

-Went skiing at Crystal with Aaron and Brookeshire. Aaron almost killed himself, it was his first time skiing and he thought it would be a good idea to try out the jumps. He almost broke a rib and landed on his face. It was funny since he didnt get hurt. Brookeshire is a very big guy, it was funny seeing someone that big on a snowboard.

-I finally got around to getting a new harness for the CD player that was in my old car. When I got it all hooked up in the Corsica I found the CD we were listening to when we got in out accident, kinda creepy.

-My brother got me the iTrip for my iPod, Its cool as hell!!

Its impossible!

So I had a boys night last night with Aaron, Dan, Joe, and Dave. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings and let me say, THEY HAVE THE BEST BONELESS WINGS EVER!!! After that we went to Dan's house and then went to look at the progress of Joe's house that he is building. I'm jealous now and want to build my own.

We then decided to go bowling, but all the bowing alleys sucked so we ended up at Canary and closed down the dirty bird. Then headed back to Dan's house. Thats where the night picked up.......

After a stop at wesco to pick up some food and to let Dave make a fool out of himself in front of the cashier we made it to Dan's

Dave was pretty drunk at this point and at some point he decied that he was going to snort some of the salsa he was eating, why? Because Dave is crazy. Actually he got Crazy tatooed on the inside of his lower lip. After he recovered from the snort of salsa he had drank a little more beer and was a little more drunk. It should be noted that his recovery included washing his mouth out with dishsoap, which led into my statment that it was humanly impossible for someone to keep a shot of dishsoap down. Dave that that was bull shit and promptly mixed himself up a shot of half dish soap and half beer. I knew the outcome from watching Adam attempt this same feat. (seen here via The Stee) Let me say that it is a million times funnier to see someone dry heave/burp up dishsoap live in person. I laughed until I was crying....it was great.

My only regret is that I didnt have anything to record the event with....damnit!

This is also a standing Challenge To keep down a full shot of dish soap, $20 to anyone who can do it. The only catch is that I want to be there to see it.

A few Holiday Reminders!

A few fun tips from the funny people at The Morning News....

-The holidays are hell on retailers. They have to hire extra staff and work long hours, and those smiles that seem so appropriately ingratiating are actually upside-down expressions of hatred for you and many generations of your forebears.
So it’s just the time to comment at the register on how tough it must be to deal with infuriating customers, then ask to have your present wrapped once, then wrapped again inside a slightly larger box, and this one wrapped inside a much larger box, until you’ve reached the eighth box and forgotten you wanted a gift-receipt tucked inside the first one.

Today at work I found a really cool flash site where you can make your own snowflakes, so naturally I made a snowflake and got paid about $1.50 to do it! (by my employer) if you would like to make your own then check out the site at Make Your Own Snowflake!

When did it become acceptable in this country for a man to go from being a rugged, plaid-wearing, beef jerky eating badass to a well-groomed, "metrosexual" girly-boy like Ben Affleck? Affleck recently agreed to be a spokesman for L'Oreal, with L'Oreal quoted as saying "Ben embodies a new generation of men who show their strength in their personality but are not afraid to care for their appearance." Afraid of taking care of their appearances? It's not that we're afraid you assholes, it's that we don't menstruate. What next? Men getting hormone injections so they can breast feed?

Ladies and Gentlemen......

I awoke a little hungover to some really great news. The capture of Sadam is huge for the military. And even though I am not all for the way the US went about the war, I am very happy that it is now that much closer to an end. Granted the capture of sadam isn't going to stop the others from continued attacks, but this is just such a huge booster to the people of Iraq working to rebuild the country, and the Troops that are fighting to help the people of Iraq.

News like this can be followed on all the cable channels who just repeat their facts and opinions over and over and over again, or more recently its amazing how much can be learned from jumping from blog to blog on the internet. Jeff Jarvis's blog BuzzMachine did an amazing job adding more and more information on the capture of Sadam today, I would say almost 100 times the information that you would get from say Fox News. Because the content dosnt just stop at his site, it continues on and on and on with all the links contained in the updates.

Just another example of how blogs are making content on the internet better and better.
